New Schedule II Opioid Prescribing CE
The California Board of Dentistry issued a new continuing education requirement in effect January 1, 2023. All dentists who prescribe narcotic pain medication must now complete a 2-hour CE course during each license renewal period. The CE course will cover the Responsibilities and Regulations covering Prescribing Schedule II Opioid Drugs.
Special Approval Needed to Offer Course
The new CE course contains specific content specified by the California Dental Board, and CE providers offering the new course must submit their course for approval to the Dental Board. Dental Didactics has received Dental Board approval for its new Schedule II Opioid Prescribing course and completing the course will fulfill the license renewal requirements mandated by the California Dental Board.
