Dental Laser Uses and Applications
Dental lasers are becoming an integral part of dental practices, for diagnostic, soft tissue, and hard tissue applications. Dental Didactics CE offers courses on a variety of dental laser topics. Two of our most popular courses address diagnostic and hard tissue lasers:
Our Dental Hard Tissue Lasers course reviews the clinical benefits of hard tissue laser usage of the Erbium (Er:YAG) laser. The course discusses enhanced treatment outcomes and specific clinical benefits related to geriatric, pedodontic and periodontal patients. It review the use of the laser during pregnancy and in specific situations such as Parkinson's patients. Utilizing a hard tissue laser can improve office efficiencies, and safety for patients who are poor risks for anesthesia. Dental-phobic patients also receive benefits from eliminating much of the use of the high-speed handpiece.
Diagnodent Dental Laser for Cavity (Caries) Diagnosis
Our Diagnodent laser course discusses laser use in diagnostic caries detection. Allowing practitioners to use objective, numeric findings regarding caries involvement rather than the traditional explorer "stick" to chart caries.
