California Mandated Opioid Prescribing C.E. Course

New California Opioid CE Requirement:
California has announced new legislation affecting dentists which requires taking a biennial CE course in opioid prescribing. This will be a 2 unit (hour) dental CE course which will be a condition of renewing a California dental license starting in January 2023.
Dental Opioid Prescribing course:
The newly mandated course will include instruction regarding the responsibilities and professional requirements of prescribing Schedule II opioid drugs. More information regarding narcotic drug abuse is available in the Dental Didactics Opioid Crisis
